Highways and Byways galore!
This week we heard from Craig Doyle, one of our 4 commissioners in Montgomery County. Our county has been growing so much that our leaders are projecting and planning ahead for traffic solutions. The newly complete Fish Creek Thoroughfare that ties FM 2854 and FM 1488 will extend to McCalab Rd. and ultimately to SH 105. This will give another route for evacuation, besides just easing up the flow of normal traffic patterns. Land has been purchased for a future Right of Way which will extend Woodlands Parkway west past FM 2978 to Route 249. Wood Forest Master Planned Community along the Fish Creek Thoroughfare is an example of a well thoughout housing development which includes many ammenities such as a golf course where million dollar homes will line the sides. The 27 hole championship golf course will compliment the 5000 projected home sites. Montgomery County, a really great place to raise a family!
